:: Tips to make the program work for you

There is a process that needs to be followed if you wish to receive your medications free. We suggest:

• If you do not receive a response to your application within a reasonable period of time, call the toll-free number that is provided.  Most pharmaceutical companies have very helpful and friendly customer-service staff who are willing to assist you.

• Tips on managing your refills.  Each company has its own refill procedure
  
  

• When you receive your medication, information regarding the refill process will be included. A time will usually be given as to when you can request or apply for a refill.

• Mark your calendar when the refill date is.  This is so you can initiate the refill process in a timely manner and there will be no lapse in receiving your medication. 

• You need to be an advocate.  The little bit of time and effort that may be required to see the application process through is well worth it.  It means you may be receiving the medications that you need free of charge.
