Our organization is a direct result of our founder, Pam being disabled and finding herself in the same situation that millions of other uninsured are in.  She did did not qualify for governement assistance, yet could not afford the costs of her medications.  It is devestating to be in the position of not being able to purchase the medications that you need to sustain your health and life.  It is through her quest to find solutions for herself that she discovered programs that would allow her to recieve her medications free.  She realized that so many others were going without their medications, unaware that these resources are available.  Her mission became to educate, and empower others in need about programs and services which help to support health.  She had found her purpose, and she began to email organizations nationwide about these programs. 

  Pam's daugher Carrie is an RN who sees many patients in her clinical practice who are labeled  "non-compliant", suffering complications from diseases like hypertension, diabetes and heart disease because they could not take their prescribed medications.  Patients facing devestating illnessess like cancer who postpone, or forgo treatment because they can not afford it.  Many of these individuals would qualify to recieve free, or low cost medication.  She initially helped  her own patients access Patient Assistance Programs.  To experience illness is difficult enough without the additional burden of

struggling to pay for the medications you or your loved ones need.  It was very rewarding to help relieve this burden, yet Carrie and her mom wanted to do more.

  Using our exerience and passion for helping those in need access resources, Pam and Carrie created Med  Solutions.  We are a grass-roots,organization dedicated to making a difference to those who are going without their medications, simply as a result of being unaware of the help that is available.  Many programs exist to eliminate or reduce prescription medication costs along with providing assistanace with other medical expenses, we seek to connect people to these programs.  We also can assist many patient's with Medicare Part D to avoid the "Gap" that they can not afford.We accomplish this mission through community outreach and education.  Our goal is to take resources directly to people and provide them with personal, caring assistance.  People need guidance, they need an advocate.  We are someplace where people can come to get this kind of support. We will work diligently to find answers for those who are struggling  and are forced to make the impossible decision of either paying for food and rent or buying medications.
